I know that placing your loved one’s ashes in the mail can feel like one of the most nerve-wracking parts of this process. Please know that I treat every single shipment with the utmost care and respect. This guide will walk you through each step, so you can feel confident while your loved one is in transit.

Step 1: Wait for Your Collection Kit

After you place your order, I’ll ship your collection kit within 1–2 business days. Inside, you’ll find everything you need: a small collection pouch, tiny spoon, a self-addressed return envelope, and simple instructions.

Please wait until your kit arrives before sending anything. The materials included are designed to help keep your ashes secure and properly packaged.

Step 2: How Much Ashes to Include

You only need a very small amount, it is far less than most people expect:

  • 1/5 teaspoon for smaller keepsakes (beads or stainless charms)
  • 1/3 teaspoon for larger pieces or multiple items

When in doubt, a little goes a long way. The collection pouch and spoon included in your kit make this step simple and precise.

Step 3: Seal and Ship Properly

This is the most important step.

Cremated remains must be shipped using USPS (United States Postal Service).
Other carriers like UPS or FedEx do not accept ashes.

USPS requires that cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express, which is a fast, trackable service designed specifically for this purpose. In most cases, this service delivers overnight or within 1–3 days, so your loved one arrives quickly and safely.

USPS also provides a free Cremated Remains Kit, which includes the official packaging and labeling required for shipping.

👉 You can order the kit through USPS website, it is free and it will be delivered to your address. Order directly here: Official USPS Cremated Remains Kit

💡 Important cost note:
The kit itself is free, but Priority Mail Express shipping is not. It is a premium service and can be more expensive than standard shipping options. I want you to be aware of this ahead of time so there are no surprises.

Packaging Tips

  • Make sure the pouch is sealed tightly
  • Write your name and address on the pouch
  • Place it inside the gift box, then inside the plastic bag, and finally into the padded return envelope
  • Keep your tracking number in a safe place (screenshot or email it to yourself)

Tracking allows both of us to follow your shipment every step of the way and ensures peace of mind.

Step 4: I Receive Your Ashes

The moment your ashes arrive at my Florida studio, I will send you a confirmation message so you know they are safely in my hands. You will never be left wondering.

Every shipment is carefully labeled with your name and order number. I always work with one person’s or pet's ashes at a time. Your loved one’s remains are never mixed, never confused, and always handled with the deepest respect.

Step 5: Crafting Your Piece

Once your ashes arrive, I begin creating your keepsake. Each piece is handcrafted with care and intention.

I’ll keep you updated along the way, and you’ll receive photos and a message when your jewelry is complete and on its way back to you.
